Damm! I am an Artist
How did he or she do that? As a photographer, an artist, the following is a question that always echoes in the back of your mind. I am referring to the great works of other famed photographers such as Annie Leibovitz, Joe McNally, Gordon Parks, David H. Wells and my local mentor Jim Dennis, a photographer who is known for sculpting light and shadows. Damm! These people are real artist and real good ones?
Over that last few years I have come to terms that I am an artist and always will be. Knowing this is not a bad thing, but an honor that any photographer has got to come to grips with. My job is to see things differently and inspire thought. I hope to be as great as my mentors and the other photographers I admire.
Photography is the only thing I know, can feel, and love to do. In my 40+ years I have worked a lot jobs and nothing has touched my soul deeper than a photo that I have taken that inspired an emotion from a client.
